A Month of Growth, Connection, and Transformation!

November has been a big month here at Genesis Church. From the success of our small groups to the exciting developments in our ministries, God is clearly at work in our church. Here’s a look back at all the incredible things that happened this month:

Fall Small Groups: Building Community
This fall, we launched 14 small groups, and they were a resounding success! These groups provided opportunities for people to connect, grow in their faith, and build meaningful relationships. It was inspiring to see so many come together to support and encourage one another. Whether through Bible studies, discussions, or shared activities, these small groups become a vital part of our church’s community life, in the church and outside of the church. We are so excited for our next season’s groups to launch and we know you are, too!

Men’s Ministry: A Strong Start
November marked a significant milestone for our men’s ministry as we joined Christ Church for their men’s retreat. It was an incredible time of fellowship, reflection, and spiritual renewal. This retreat helped lay a strong foundation for the men’s ministry at Genesis Church, and we’re excited about what’s ahead. With God leading the way, this ministry is poised for great things, and now is the perfect time to be a part of it. Stay tuned for more opportunities to connect and grow with other men in the church.

NextGen Student Ministry: A Community Effort
Our NextGen student ministry has been overwhelmed by the generosity of our church family and the community. Thanks to donations from our Amazon wish list, our student room is being transformed into a welcoming space designed for connection and growth. Each day brings new additions, from seating to games to supplies, all of which are making a tangible difference in the lives of our teens.

We are beyond grateful to everyone who has contributed to this effort. Your generosity is more than just material—it’s an investment in the spiritual and personal growth of the next generation. A Month of Powerful Teaching: The “Over It” Series
Pastor Rory delivered a transformative sermon series this month called Over It. With the assistance of Carter Saterfiel, we explored the idea that faith and doubt can coexist in the same heart. The series touched on critical topics such as overcoming forgiveness, doubt, and feeling stuck in life. It was a month of reflection and breakthrough for many as we learned practical, faith-filled ways to move forward in our relationship with God.

The series was a reminder of God’s grace, His ability to meet us in our struggles, and His power to bring us through them. If you missed any part of this impactful series, we encourage you to catch up—it’s one you don’t want to miss!

Looking Ahead
As we close out this transformative month, we’re filled with anticipation for December and all the opportunities it will bring to celebrate, connect, and grow. There’s so much in store, and we can’t wait to share it with you in next month’s blog.

A Month of Celebration, Growth, and Community!

Greetings Genesis Church Family!

We’re excited to share our first-ever newsletter with you, highlighting the amazing moments that made October a month to remember at Genesis Church! From baptisms to celebrating our incredible Dream Team, and a fantastic Fall Party for the kids, October was filled with joy, unity, and faith. Let’s dive into the highlights!

4 Powerful Baptisms: A Step in Faith

October began with a life-changing moment as we celebrated 4 baptisms at Genesis Church! It’s always a beautiful occasion when individuals make a public declaration of their faith, and we were overjoyed to witness these powerful steps in their spiritual journey. The baptisms remind us of the life transformation that happens here at Genesis Church, and we’re so proud of those who took this significant step. We believe that each baptism is a symbol of new beginnings and a reminder of God’s grace at work in our lives. Congratulations to all who were baptized—what an inspiring way to kick off the month!

Dream Team Celebration: A "Friends" Themed Party

Next up, we celebrated our Dream Team in true style with a fun, "Friends"-themed party! Our Dream Team is the heartbeat of Genesis Church, and we wanted to take a moment to honor and appreciate their hard work, dedication, and love for serving our church and community. From the worship team to our kids' ministry volunteers, each Dream Team member plays an essential role in making Genesis a welcoming and thriving place for everyone.

The party was filled with laughter, games, and plenty of "Friends" references that had everyone smiling! We also issued well-deserved awards to recognize the outstanding contributions of our Dream Team members. Thank you to each and every one of you who serve selflessly—you are truly making a difference in the lives of those around you.

Fall Party for the Kids: A Huge Success

We also had a fantastic Fall Party for our kids this October! The event saw a great turnout, with families coming together to enjoy fun activities, candy, and games in a safe and festive environment. There were games, hand and face painting, and even a few friendly competitions that had everyone laughing………*cough cough* You had the opportunity to pie your pastors!! It was such a blessing to see so many families gathered and enjoying a beautiful evening of community. A big thank you to our volunteers who worked hard to make this event a memorable one for the kids and their families.
